Friends Card

This card was made with DCWV Embossed Card Stock. The stamp set was from Stampin' Up called Heart and Home. I really got some amazing deals this weekend at a garage sale near my dad's house. The stamp set was only $2.00 for a complete wood mounted set. Such a great deal! I went to the dollar store and found these cheap clip board embellishments with rhinestones. The ribbon was .50 cents from Michael's. I have more ideas to share! Thanks for looking! XOXO Julie.

Pictures of card donated by Tanya

Here's two beautiful cards that Tanya made for eyes on the prize. She is one of our many talented donors. The two particular cards pictured to the left are going to be donated to Eyes on the Prize along with many other that she created. Thank you for your hard work and your giving spirit! :0) Julie.

Smile with Flowers

Hi Everyone! Here's another card that I made for the Eye's on the Prize ladies. This one was made with a DCWV pre-printed card. The rectangle card stock in burgundy was from an extra scraps that I had. Sorry I don't have the name on that one. Can you tell that I am trying to clean up my scraps?!! The pink polkadot rectangle was also a crap that I thought went really cute with the card. I also added a square white piece to add some visualness(not sure if that is an actual word!) to the card. The smile and small flower were cut from the Wild Card Cricut Cartridge and the large flower was cut from the Accent Essentials Cricut Cartridge. The pink organza ribbon is from www.reasonableribbons.com. The heart brad was from Michael's Craft Store. Thank you all for looking. :0) Julie.

Embossed Friend Card

This has to be one of the more simple yet beautiful cards that I have made recently. This was made from the DCWV embossed box of cards. I took a fuchsia stamp pad, used a makeup sponge applicator and lightly touched the wording to make it pop. It was originally embossed in white. I love the wording and thought that I would make it stand out a bit. I then used 1/4 ribbon from Michael's...50 cents for three yards! What a deal. I used Memory Makers Jumbo Flowers Blossom Daisy and also Prima Flowers to layer them. I topped it off with a gem brad. Too cute I think! :0)

Graduation Announcement

Just dropped my husband off at the airport to fly to California to see his oldest graduate! This is a graduation announcement that I did for my daughter in California. She will be graduating today! She asked for a card that was green and silver. I used a basic white card and layered it with green "panels" on the side. I then took silver stripped card stock from Making Memories and over layered that with velum that I printed "Dream Big" and "Class of 2009". I adhered it to green card stock that I cut square and added Making Memory square brads to give it more character. Thank you for stopping by! :0)

Update on the 5K

So yesterday I went out and went for a 3 mile run/walk. I thought I would check to see how my progress is coming along. I need to be able to run a 5K my July 4th with my church. I was able to run 2 out of the three miles! Mind you, this is not any fast running. If anything, it's probably the speed of someone who fast walks. I ran on the parts that were straight and down hill and walked when I got to the up hill portion. I am really excited to see the progress from just being persistent and not giving up. Yippie! :0)

Strawberry Card

How can I say thank you enough??? We have a total of 167 cards to be donated to the domestic violence shelter! Wow! You gals are amazing! :0)

Just Because with Flowers

I made this card for the women at the domestic violence shelter. This card was made with floral card stock.(sorry I can't find the name) I do know that I purchased this from Jo-Ann's. The yellow that you see behind the "just because"(Wild Card Cricut Cartridge) was make from the same floral paper(it was two sided). The ribbon was from a pack of 40 that I purchased from Costco. I will say that I have seen very similar ribbon at Michael's in the dollar bin. The salmon color behind the yellow is just salmon colored card stock from Jo-Ann's. The flowers that are stuck just above the verbiage"just because" was from DCWV Go Green Stack Pack. Enjoy! Julie. :0)
